Our Story

Lovey's Home Foundation was founded in memory of Jackie Jackson, a devoted foster parent, former DCFS employee, and family day care provider. Our mission is to provide a loving and supportive environment for foster youth, ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed.

Our Services

Lovey's Home Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving outcomes for expectant and parenting youth and young adults impacted by foster care.

We believe young parents deserve more than a safe place to stay. They deserve the stability, resources, relationships, and opportunities needed to build thriving futures for themselves and their children.

Lovey's Home Foundation is working to develop supportive housing and comprehensive, family-centered services that address the unique challenges young families impacted by foster care face. Our vision brings together housing, parenting support, education, mentorship, life-skills development, mental health resources, and pathways toward long-term economic independence.

As we build our programs and partnerships, our goal remains simple: to create a place where young families feel supported, seen, and equipped to thrive.

  • Our affordable housing program is specifically designed for young adults aged 18 to 24 who are transitioning out of care. Residents can stay with us for up to three years or until they reach the age of 25, whichever comes first.

    This program is ideal for foster youth or young adults seeking a stable, nurturing environment to help them grow and prepare for independent living. Our community-focused approach provides a supportive space for personal growth, resilience, and readiness for the future.

    Whether looking for a place to live while pursuing education or employment, or simply needing a supportive community to assist in the transition to adulthood, our program is here to help foster youth and young adults take those important next steps.
